Lessons Learned

The May “Opera Meets Broadway” concerts were a big success – real crowd pleasers.  Even though most of the music was familiar, we felt the need to “be sure” of everything – to really know our assigned parts, entrances and exits to the music.  Allison’s rehearsal schedule is planned down to the minute – little time is wasted.  I think I practiced more than I usually do!!

Of course, we all know that attending rehearsals and practicing at home will always make a difference.  But this time was special.  I was placed next to the tenors with a bass behind me (I’m an alto) and confidently held my own – secure in what my part was.  Lessons learned and time spent meant that we could “enjoy” singing and see the happiness that the music brought to others.
