September 2026 – It’s almost here!  Our first rehearsal for the Chorale’s Fall 2026 Season is on Thursday, September 10th at the Truro Community Center, 7 Standish Way.  Registration begins at 6:00 and singing starts at 6:30.

Our delightful Fall program is “Castles & Revelry!  Baroque to Broadway!” featuring excerpts from Handel’s Alexander’s Feast; selections from Les Miserables, Quest for Camelot, Man of La Mancha, Cinderella; a fun Gilbert and Sullivan ditty, and “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast.

New singers are welcome to join us!  Thinking about it, but aren’t sure?  Our first rehearsal is an “open rehearsal”, where newcomers can participate without obligation.  Come see what it’s like to sing with the Chorale!  For more information, see our Join Us! page.

August 2026 – We’re excited to announce that the Outer Cape Chorale will host three “One Night Choir” events this winter and spring.  A One Night Choir is an opportunity for any and all community members to sing together in a joyful and spontaneous way, with accompaniment and Artistic Director Allison Beavan at the conductor’s podium.  You don’t need to be a member of the Chorale – just come and sing!

Our first One Night Choir, “Cocoa and Carols”, will be held in mid-December, the week after the Chorale’s winter concert.  Everyone is welcome to sing familiar holiday classics and enjoy light refreshments.  Nothing to bring, no preparation necessary, just an hour and a half of fun!  The specific date, time, and venue will be announced soon.

On Thursday January 21st, OCC’s second One Night Choir, at St. Mary of the Harbor in Provincetown from 6 to 8PM, will feature the Vivaldi Gloria.  Allison Beavan will lead a brief rehearsal, followed by a full run-through of the piece.  Scores will be available, but please bring yours if you have one!  A reception hosted by St. Mary of the Harbor will follow.  Mark your calendars for this one-of-a-kind event!

And a third One-Night Choir is being planned for Spring 2027 – more to come!

August 2026 – OCC’s Artistic Director, Allison Beavan, enjoyed
an intensive two-day choral conductor’s conference at the Berklee College of Music.
The conference was created by the Massachusetts American Choral Directors Association with a focus on singing as community and joy!
A perfect fit for The Outer Cape Chorale!  Allison cannot wait to share this rich experience with the OCC singers starting Sept. 10th!

August 2026 – Allison Beavan appeared on the July 30 broadcast of WOMR’s Arts Week, with Jeannette de Beauvoir.  The 12-minute interview takes you behind the scenes of the June trip to Paris by over 30 Outer Cape Chorale Singers for “The Music of Elaine Hagenberg”; describes how the Chorale welcomes new singers (especially Basses!) for the upcoming Fall 2026 season with an “open rehearsal” on Thursday September 10th; and provides a glimpse of the December 2026 concert repertoire.

June 2026 – In June, 32 singers from the Outer Cape Chorale travelled to Paris to participate in “The Music of Elaine Hagenberg”, an unforgettable choral festival bringing together members from sixteen choruses from around the world for an extraordinary musical experience.

June 2026 – The Chamber Singers officially wrapped up their acclaimed 2026 summer concert series with a final concert on Wednesday, June 17th at Highland House Museum in Truro.  At all of the venues, the rooms were filled as our appreciative audiences enjoyed a program that included Stevie Wonder’s “Superstitious” and “Empire Blue”, a beautiful choral piece by composer Rob Dietz, with lyrics by Emily Dietz, about how small moments in life help us understand our place in the world.

May 2026 – Each year, the Outer Cape Chorale offers a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who plans to major in music at an accredited college or university.  The 2026 Outer Cape Chorale Scholarship was awarded to Annabelle Senatori at our May 3rd concert performance of “Voices of Hope”.

Annabelle is a violinist who began study at age 5 and has performed with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra and the New England Conservatory.  She is recognized for both her performances in chamber ensembles and solo soirees.  Please join us in congratulating Annabelle!
